What will be your criteria in selecting a bridal shop? I as a guy will select a bridal shop based on 4 criteria. Who will be my photographer? How is the gown selection type (designer gown from where)? How they design the album? How is the studio setting like? This will be my 4 criteria for the selection. Hey guys, you need to know what are paying for.

You must always do your homework before go asking the bridal shop questions. So I am going to start of my study on photo shooting. So what are types of photography that I want most for my wedding album? Trust me; if you are a photography idiot like me, this is a very hard subject to be learned. Normally one album will content of action photography, black and white, art photography (which is not in my taste), glamour photography (very rare, I can see this) & contemporary shooting style. So basically I prefer contemporary, a bit of action photography & glamour photography style. Yeah, I finally set the things I want, so next will be looking for example to show your bridal shop or the photographer.

Contemporary portrait photography will used during outdoor photo shooting which focuses on the person, not the surrounding. Contemporary portrait photography doesn’t need to say cheese so this will be a very good shooting style for a guy who not smiles like me. Glamour photography will be sexy or romantic form of photography which means to be erotic but without being pornographic. Action shots will be photo taken while some actions are doing. For this 3 type of photo shooting genres I will need to study more and do some planning, so stay tuned.

Next, gown selection. Hmm.. This will be one of the studies that I need to think of. As I am not mistaken there will be actual date gown, evening gown, dinner gown & outdoor gown. I am planning to custom make an outdoor gown which based on Yuna on Final Fantasy. Yeah I know will cost me a lot of money, but I think will worth it.

Then we go to photo album design & material. Let see what I got from my research. For my photo album I will select the material as PVC for the pages which will be long lasting and lighter to carry. Platinum printing with gloss laminates which make the photo look slightly 3d and high quality. If possible I would like to try some stop UV effect. It depends on budget for sure. How many poses for the album? I still unsure; but I will try to bargain around 100 poses for the entire album. Most important will be the photo touching skills. Because I found out that most of the album do not have a very good touching skill where the photo merging is too lame. Sad huh?

Lastly will be the studio setting. Most of the studio provide theme studio for photo shooting. So I will happy with the theme of contempory to fairy tales. I found a few interesting to study.
